The majestic Hungarian Parliament Building, also known as the Budapest Parliament, serves as the seat of the Hungarian National Assembly and is one of the country’s main attractions and a popular tourist destination in Budapest.
It is located on Kossuth Square, in the Pest part of the city, on the eastern bank of the Danube River.

This impressive building was designed by the Hungarian architect Imre Steindell in the neo-Gothic style and its construction was completed in 1902, and since then it has been the largest building in Hungary.
Budapest, where the parliament building is located, was formed in 1873 by uniting three cities – Buda, Ofbyda and Pest. Seven years after this, a law was passed creating a new parliament building, which was supposed to symbolize the country’s sovereignty.
