Tau is located on the remote northern border of South Africa, in the beautiful area known as Groot Marico, in the Madikwe webcam reserve.
Elephants, white and black rhinoceroses, lions, cheetahs, spotted and brown hyenas, buffalos, leopards, zebras, endangered wild dogs, giraffes, ostriches and warthogs are often found in this area. A variety of antelope species such as impala, springbok, kudu, waterbuck, wildebeest, eland, blesbok, nyala and even the elusive sable also appear at the waterhole.
