This live webcam provides a view of Vágar Airport (IATA: FAE, ICAO: EKVG), the only airport in the Faroe Islands.
The airport is situated 1 NM (1.9 km; 1.2 mi) east of the village of Sørvágur on the island of Vágar, and 46 km (29 miles) west of the capital, Tórshavn.
Due to the Faroe Islands’ status as a self-governing territory, the airport operates independently of European Union regulations. It serves as the main base for the Faroese national airline, Atlantic Airways, and briefly hosted the low-cost airline FaroeJet in 2006.
