This live webcam offers a glimpse into the charming Mykines Harbour.
For six months of the year, the only means of transportation to and from Mykines is by helicopter. With no grocery store on the island, residents rely on helicopter deliveries for provisions to last through the winter months.
From May 1 to August 31, a daily ferry connects Mykines to the island of Vágar, weather permitting. The ferry departs from the harbour in Sørvágur and is operated by the M/F Jósup. Tickets must be purchased online in advance via mykines.fo, and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes.
During the transitional months of April and September, the ferry service operates only three times a week, and there is no ferry service during the winter.
